I’ve been nominated for my very first blogger award! ::Insert happy scream here:: I’m definitely accepting this award with much gratitude. Before I go into the details, I’d like to thank Lyndel Paris for nominating me for this award. I’m so happy that you were able to get some positivity and encouragement from my posts. Thank you so much for choosing my blog for this award, it means a lot. You can check out her lovely blog here https://islandgirlonamission.blog/
The Blue Sky Tag Challenge Award is an unofficial blog award that’s awarded between bloggers. By being awarded, this means that someone, Lyndel, found my blog to be inspirational, encouraging, or for some other reason worthy. Yaayyy! The rules are I have to answer 11 questions written by the person who nominated me, nominate 11 other bloggers, and create 11 questions of my own.
My answers to Lyndel’s Questions:
What are your 4 daily must have items and why?
A journal because I need somewhere to write ideas, dreams, and my feelings. It keeps my focused with a clear head. My phone. I have everything on there; my bible app, 3k+ photos, Spotify, journaling apps, and all of my reminders because my memory is so bad sometimes. A bible because it’s like my survival guide to life! It can be an app or a hard copy. Lastly, shea butter lol I can’t have dry skin nor hair. It’s my go to moisturizer everyday throughout the day.
If you could choose to either feel no fear or no pain for the rest of your life, which would you choose and why?
No fear. I can definitely go without fear. It’s such a debilitating emotion. Nothing about God says live in fear, so if He says I shouldn’t live in fear then surely I can go the rest of my life without it.
What is your most important goal for this year?
To make progress in my pursuit of a career in medicine.
How do you use your blog to inspire others?
I write my posts as they’re placed in my heart and make an effort to be as relatable and transparent as possible. In this way, I can make real honest connections with my readers.
If you knew that you were going to leave your country and never return again, what would you spend today doing? And with who would you spend it?
Before or after dancing while I pack?! Lol I’d have a big ole going away dinner party with my close family and friends. That’s about it. I’d be out.
What is the thing you value the most?
Honestly, my relationship with God. He’s been the most faithful and loving to me. He keeps me. He enlightens and guide me. He comforts me. I’ve finally gotten to the point where our relationship is truly what I value most.
If you could choose to master one skill, what would it be and why?
Speaking French fluently. It’s the only foreign language that’s been easy for me to grasp but I haven’t been consistent in learning. I love the language and how romantic it sounds. Like, someone can be complaining in French and it’ll sound like an enchantment.
Have you ever been to a Caribbean island? Which one? What was the best part of your experience?
My family is from Belize (bup bup bup) so I’ve been there. I’ve also been to the Dominican Republic. My favorite part of both experiences was the food and the beach. I didn’t get too much of DR’s culture but it is the best part of all my trips to Belize.
If you have not yet visited a Caribbean island which one would you most likely visit if you have the opportunity to and why?
Well, I definitely want to go to Barbados next. The water looks so beautiful there and the sand looks so white, clean, and soft. Plus, I want to go to cropova !
What is your favorite thing to do with others (party, counsel, volunteer, travel, worship etc.)? Why?
Eat! lol The easiest way to get me out is to say there’s food involved. Food brings people together hence Sunday dinner, Thanksgiving, and every other celebration. I like how a dinner can be a way to fellowship, reconcile differences, show appreciation, or simple be a good time between loved ones/friends. So yep, eat.
What would you like to say to other bloggers to encourage them if ever they get discouraged to write?
Keep on writing. Even if you don’t think it’s your best work. Someone out there won’t see it that way and it may be just what they need. So take a breather, relax for a bit, then keep on writing.
